If you are a health care provider and would like to explore healing, our roles as Jewish healers, and how Judaism can inform and support us as healers, then you are invited to join this newly forming Chavurah. We plan to meet every 2 months at participants' homes. On a rotating basis, each participant will facilitate a conversation about an aspect of healing, incorporating Jewish sources into the discussion. These might include drawing on teachings from the Torah portion, contemporary Jewish writings, Jewish poets and authors, the liturgy, midrash or the arts.
Most important will be the sharing of personal experiences and the support we can offer one another as Jewish health care providers. Links for Torah study, including the weekly Torah Reflections provided by the Bay Area Jewish Healing Center, as well other source material, will be available for all. A list of meeting dates will be forthcoming.
