Ulpan San Francisco

The Ulpan Hebrew Studies program is being offered again this summer at the University of San Francisco! Ulpan San Francisco is an intensive three-week immersion program for those interested in learning Hebrew! Multiple levels of study are offered.

What is Ulpan?
Ulpan San Francisco is a three-week intensive Hebrew language program, which takes place on the campus of the University of San Francisco. We welcome all who are interested in the Hebrew language! We offer multiple levels of Hebrew instruction in small class settings to students of all ages! Students will thrive within a community of learners while receiving individual attention. Emphasis is placed on conversation, accompanied by reading, writing, and grammar. The learning experience is enhanced by various teaching aids such as video, film clips, songs, drama, and audio material. Extracurricular activities include guest lecturers, Friday communal lunches, singing, and dancing!

Placement: All students, except those with no prior knowledge of Hebrew will be given a placement exam. We will call students prior to the Program start to determine placement.

Faculty: Our native Hebrew language teachers bring a wealth of knowledge to Ulpan San Francisco. Each instructor has years of experience in classroom, private and/or Ulpan settings. All instructors have taught extensively in the United States.

For registration information and inquiry, please visit the Ulpan website at  http://www.usfca.edu/artsci/ug/judaic_studies/Ulpan.html or email student program assistant Erika Salinas at easalinas@usfca.edu.

We’d love to see you!
