Kol-Limud (sound of study) is an online discussion group for members of Kol Shofar. Our goal is to build community while we deepen our connection to Jewish life. We want to create a safe, respectful place a virtual salonwhere we can share our questions, thoughts and feelings about any aspect of Judaism.
Were been talking about a wide range of subjects, including Torah portions, questions on observance, same-sex marriages and the Conservative Movement, inclusivity at Kol Shofar, and the meanings of different holidays and rituals including Kashrut. Sometimes we discuss the Rabbis sermons from Saturday services.
Do you have questions or ideas about any aspect of Judaism or Kol Shofar? Come join your community on Kol-Limud. Our goal: to provide a safe, respectful place --a virtual salon-- where we can share our questions, thoughts and feelings about the ideas and practice of Judaism.
Its easy to sign up! Just send an email to Howard Schwartz, at onlinetalk@KolShofar.org. Please provide your full name.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does it work? Kol-Limud is like a bulletin board that is available to a select group of people. Any member of the group can post a thought or question by sending an email to a special address. That email will then be forwarded to everyone else in the group. You can also access past messages by going to the Kol-Limud website.
Will I be flooded with a zillion emails? Not likely. Sometimes the discussion gets a little more intense, and more people post comments. Most of the time its pretty quiet.
If you feel overloaded, you can always choose to receive a digest of the previous 24 hours worth of messages instead of getting a separate email every time someone posts to the list. You can elect the digest format when you sign up for the list, or you can change to it later on. You can also hit the delete key!
