TEEN TRIPS ATTENTION KOL SHOFAR COLLEGE KIDS Let's stay in touch. Send us your college mail and contact information, so that we can send you treats for the Jewish holidays. Parents, you can also send the info on your kid's behalf. The Bay Area is full of amazing opportunities for Jewish teens to travel, and we want to hook you up!  Here are some links to our favorite programs.  Let’s Go Israel is a summer trip to Israel for Bay Area teens. What’s cool about this trip is that all the kids on it are local, so when you make friends that you want to know for the rest of your life, you can actually see them all the time!  USY has all kinds of incredible summer trips too.  You can go to Israel, of course, but you can also go to Eastern Europe, Poland, Spain, New York City, or travel on a bus all over America.  We had a bunch of our USY teens go to USY summer trips last summer and they all had an awesome time and came home with new friends, new loves, and tons of amazing memories.  USY also has trips where you can go to High School in Israel for a year with other USYers, or go to Israel for your first year of college!  Shalhevet is this really moving trip that you can go on through the Holocaust Center of Northern California. You study together first, so you get to know everyone on your trip before you even go, and then you travel to places in Eastern Europe where you can learn about the holocaust in the places where it actually happened. Taglit Birthright is this amazing opportunity for older teens and young adults who have never made it to Israel.  If you are an Israel virgin, Birthright will send you to Israel, FREE!  It is definitely worth checking out.  Also, if you want to go on a trip sooner than birthright, but you are worried about the cost of it, the Bureau of Jewish Education has scholarships!  Check them out, they want you to be able to get there if you want to go!  I hope you will think about going on a Jewish trip while you are a teenager, all the teens from Kol Shofar who have done it have had a blast!
