Cantor Josh Goldberg

Cantor Josh Goldberg is a versatile artist, excelling as a vocalist, prolific songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and music producer. Hailing from Dallas, TX, his musical journey commenced in the world of musical theater before blossoming into a deep passion for Jewish music. A proud graduate of the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music, Josh has graced stages worldwide alongside notable figures like Rick Recht, Craig Taubman, and Mikey Pauker. As the founder of Kosher Style Records, a Jewish record label and production company, he has contributed to over 100 recordings for exceptional Jewish artists. Currently, Josh serves as the Cantor and music director at Congregation Micah in Nashville, TN, continuing to enrich the musical and spiritual tapestry of the community.

Cantor Herschel Fox

Cantor Herschel Fox has shared his knowledge, talent, and Yiddishkeit with Valley Beth Shalom of Los Angeles for more than 40 years! Born in Europe and raised in Winnipeg, Canada, Cantor Fox's upbringing in the dual world of Yiddish cultural life and European Orthodox Judaism has shaped his musical journey. A Cantor since the age of 13, Cantor Hershel Fox brings a wealth of experience and passion to the stage.

Shira Simcha Steinberg

Shira Simcha Steinberg is a cantorial soloist, Jewish educator, and concert artist. She grew up immersed in synagogue music as a daughter of cantors. An accomplished singer, artist, and specialist in cantorial music, Shira frequently performs in sacred music concerts across the United States. Currently, Shira serves as the spiritual director and service leader for Congregation Ohr Tzafon in San Luis Obispo. Previously, she served as cantor for Congregation Beit T’shuvah in Los Angeles and cantor for Temple Kol Tikvah in Woodland Hills, CA. Shira has also performed as artist-in-residence with Jewish Women’s Theater, and as a special guest for musical events of the L.A. Dance Collective. Her guiding spiritual tenet is “Azamra l’Elohai b’odi” (Ps. 146), that one should sing "with their all!" She lives with her husband, Rabbi Paul Steinberg, senior rabbi at Congregation Kol Shofar in Marin County.
