Wednesday, December 6, 2023 23 Kislev 5784

6:30 PM - 7:30 PMKol Shofar

Stress and anxiety are part of the normal human experience. However, in the past few years we have accumulated dramatic levels of chronic, cumulative, and acute stress. All of which takes a toll on our mental and physical health. Now the war in Israel and Gaza, combined with increased incidents of antisemitism, have created an even more dire situation for our collective well-being.

Jory Hanselman Mayschak, founder and CEO of BaMidbar, the nation’s first Jewish wilderness therapy program, and Liora Bernstein, Clinician and Educator at BaMidbar, will lead a session that helps us understand stress and anxiety. This is turn will empower participants to better support themselves and their community.

This program is brought to you by Congregation Kol Shofar and the REAL Mental Health Initiative of Congregation Rodef Sholom.
